Maggio Metropolitano, in its ninth edition, is a project aimed at the Municipalities of the Città Metropolitana di Firenze with the aim of highlighting the heritage of values, and intercepting the best energies of the territory, experimenting with new forms of participation, aimed at promoting collaborations, also audacious, and strengthen the relationship between metropolitan citizenship and the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
The whole cycle of initiatives, from conferences, to concerts, to shows for children, is born on the assumption that the social and economic development of a community, large or small, passes also for its cultural growth.
The dense calendar of events, over one hundred, will involve the public of all the municipalities of the metropolitan city, distributed in the five reference areas: Chianti, Cintura fiorentina, Empolese e Valdelsa, Mugello, Valdarno e Valdisieve.
The Maggio Metropolitano is a project of the Fondazione del Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino financed by the Metropolitan City of Florence.
Unless otherwise provided, tickets will be distributed, upon simple request, at the entrance of the hall.
