Updates on our program postponed and canceled of the 85th Maggio Fiorentino Festival

  • All tickets for the Maggio shows are offered to the public at more favorable prices:
    Operas: stalls1: €110 – stalls2: €85 - stalls3: €70 - stalls4: €60 - boxes: €50 gallery: €35 - limited visibility: €15 - listening only: €15
    Concerts: sector A: €70 - sector B: €50 - sector C: €35 - sector D: €20
  • Subscriptions, in the three rounds, to the 85th edition of the Festival for operas, and already subscribed, are always valid for the operas Don Giovanni, Otello and Falstaff with the following distribution:Don Giovanni: session A: 30 April – session B: 3 May – matinee: 6 May
    Otello: session A and matinee: 20 May – session B: 23 May (this date coincides with the performance offered with a 50% discount thanks to the CR Firenze Foundation; therefore season ticket holders will be refunded the fee calculated on the discounted amount)
    Falstaff: round A: 16 June – round B and matinee: 19 June
  • The recovery dates of the opera Otello scheduled for 2020 will be reassigned as follows:Otello on 27 November and 6 December 2020 for performance on 20 May 2023
    Otello on November 30, 2020 for performance on May 31, 2023
    Otello on 3, 15 and 19 December 2020 for performance on 26 May 2023
  • All those who were in possession of tickets for the performances scheduled for 2020 and who will attend the opera in the new programming will be paid the difference in price by bank transfer and sent a new ticket. Anyone who has a ticket for the Othello performances scheduled for 2020 and does not wish to attend the opera can request a refund by 20 May. The refund will be paid by bank transfer.
  • Subscribers will be refunded the difference with what has already been paid out with respect to the new price of individual tickets and the same discount rate will be maintained (15% for Subscribers for operas only and 20% for Subscribers for operas plus concerts)
  • Refunds will be made by bank transfer
  • With the cancellation of the opera Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg by Richard Wagner, and the programming in its place of the opera Falstaff by Giuseppe Verdi, as well as the cancellation of the two Mozartian operas Le nozze di Figaro (September 2023) and Così fan tutte (November 2023 ), changes the structure of the previously announced Festival. Consequently, Subscribers will be reimbursed for the amount relating to the two works by Mozart by bank transfer. The same will be done for those who do not accept the replacement of the Falstaff opera, in place of the Wagnerian opera. Also in this case, refunds will be made by bank transfer
  • There are no refunds for the opera Don Giovanni, by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, which will be proposed in the staging of the Spoleto Festival, keeping the same announced cast in full.
  • Redistribution of tickets from Meistersinger to Falstaff: those who keep the opera Falstaff in their season ticket, following the change in the performance dates, will be able to follow this scheme to enter the hall:Meistersinger of 22 June to Falstaff of 16 June, round A
    Meistersinger on June 27 and July 1 to Falstaff of June 19, round B and matinee
    Meistersinger of 4 July to Falstaff of 23 June
    Meistersinger of 7 July to Falstaff of 21 June
  • The symphony concerts in undergo a remodeling of the programming, and from eight they pass to nine. The ninth concert (July 1, 2023) will be put on sale to season ticket holders obviously taking into account the new prices and maintaining the installment intended for them (15% for subscribers to the symphonic cycle only and 20% for subscribers to the opera cycle plus the symphonic cycle).

  • To these concerts are added the non-subscription concerts of June 10, the Orchestra Giovanile Italiana conducted by Daniele Giorgi and the concert of July 13 with the Maggio Orchestra and Choir, the Academy Children's Choir and the soloists of the Academy, directed by Paolo Carignani.
  • There are no refunds, except those relating to the difference in ticket prices, for the symphonic cycle.
  • The recovery concerts are:Gergiev concert on March 31, 2022, recovered with the Chung concert on May 5, 2023
    Conlon concert on February 27, 2021, recovered with the Mehta concert on April 29, 2023
    Mehta concert on November 9, 2020, recovered with the Mehta concert on May 25, 2023
  • Those who were in possession of tickets for the Gergiev, Conlon and Mehta concerts (November 9, 2020) and who will attend the new programming, will be paid the price difference by bank transfer and a new ticket will be sent. Those who wish to give up the make-up concerts can request a refund by the new rescheduled date. The refund will be paid by bank transfer.
  • Starting from Tuesday 11 April, the Maggio ticket office will reopen for the sale of tickets for all the shows of the 85th edition of the Festival del Maggio. There are no new subscriptions for operas or symphonic concerts.
  • The show for the "All'opera" project for schools and young people: La Historia de Carmen, does not undergo changes in dates or prices
  • To obtain refunds, which will be made by bank transfer, the request must be sent by email to the Courtesy Service ([email protected]) communicating the tax code and IBAN. Reimbursement requests for Meistersinger must be made by June 16, 2023; refunds for Othello dates in recovery (Othello 2020), by 20 May 2023; for Le nozze di Figaro and Cosi fan tutte by 15 July 2023.
