The Sunday concerts of the "C'è musica & musica" cycle
The event on Sunday, November 26th, entitled “Non ci sono più le mezze stagioni – La primavera e l’autunno di Antonio Vivaldi”, features two parts from one of the most famous compositions of all time: "The Four Seasons" by Antonio Vivaldi.
The protagonist in this music morning, alongside the Maggio Orchestra, in the role of concertmaster and violin soloist, is the first violin of the Maggio Orchestra Salvatore Quaranta.
We inform the audience that due to the Florence Marathon, scheduled for the morning of November 26th, 2023, traffic conditions will be subject to changes and this could make it difficult to reach the Theater in time. In order to facilitate the audience, the Theater changed the concert time to 4pm and, consequently, the breakfast offered becomes a snack distributed starting from 2.30pm
Holders of a ticket for the 11am performance can show up at the concert without any other formalities.
Florence, November 24th, 2023 – After the success of Carmina Burana, with the Zubin Mehta Hall sold out in every seating order for the third consecutive Sunday, and all the previous shows, the sparkling and festive cycle of concerts C'è musica & musica continues: the appointment - the second in the series dedicated to the discovery of the forms of instruments with voices - is on Sunday, November 26th, at 4pm, once again in Mehta Hall, with a selection from the famous Four Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi: Non ci sono più le mezze stagioni – La primavera e l’autunno di Antonio Vivaldi. The protagonist of the morning, together with the Orchestra del Maggio, is the concertmaster Salvatore Quaranta, in the role of conductor and violin soloist.
Among the most famous, famous and loved compositions of his career, The Four Seasons were composed by Antonio Vivaldi between 1723 and 1725, as the first four solo concerts for violin for the collection of the test of harmony and invention: each of the parts of the composition represents a season of the year and each season has its own characteristic movement.
In Sunday's show, two of these four parts will be offered to the public: Spring and Autumn. The first half of Spring describes the awakening and singing of the birds after the winter, followed by the cool flow of the river and the very lively part in which a storm arrives and then ends with the music that outlines the image of the sleeping shepherd , with a background that recalls the rustling of plants and the barking of a dog; Autumn is initially characterized by the figure of the god Bacchus and recounts the moments of the harvest followed by the fun intoxication caused by the wine, until reaching the last movement which coincides with the pressing rhythms of the hunt.
We remind you that each concert costs 15 euros for adults and 5 euros for children up to 18 years of age and includes - on this occasion - a snack, served starting from 2.30 pm at the bar in the Foyer of the Theater.
Furthermore, thanks to the collaboration with Unicoop Firenze, an area dedicated to very young people has been set up in a space adjacent to the Foyer's Cafè area, with stationery products from the Ecological ViviVerde Coop line, which makes writing materials available to young people.
The concerts will be preceded by presentations by Giovanni Vitali and Cristina Bersanelli.
