Tonight's highly anticipated summer event is officially sold out.

There is tremendous anticipation for tonight's event, taking place on 13 July at 9 pm in the Cavea of the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino: the first summer edition of LIBERAMENTE_ Scuola Popolare di Scrittura SOTTO LE STELLE has officially sold out.

This one-of-a-kind initiative, conceived and led by Stefano Massini, Artistic Director of Teatro della Toscana, returns following the extraordinary success of last season, which attracted record audiences. Joined by the artists of the Accademia del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Massini will once again transform the Cavea into a vast open-air creative workshop. While last year's edition revolved around the theme of anger, the 2026 programme invites participants to explore another universal and deeply human subject: happiness. The audience will be encouraged to write and share stories, dreams and passions, contributing to the creation of a collective script.

Inspired by the legacy of Dario Fo, the project reaffirms a vision of theatre as a collective, political and popular act, breaking down the barrier between stage and audience and making the community an active protagonist in the creative process.

LIBERAMENTE_ Scuola Popolare di Scrittura is a project of Teatro della Toscana, supported by the Italian Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with the Fondazione Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and the Accademia del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, with the support of Unicoop Firenze. This partnership between cultural institutions renews a successful formula that brings together the written word, music and theatre, restoring culture to its most authentic dimension: that of a community united in listening, participation and the absence of barriers.

The second summer event, which is also selling out rapidly, will take place at the Cavea of the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino on 25 July.
