Steering Committee meeting: March 21, 2024

Florence, March 21st, 2024 - The Board of Directors of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Foundation met today March 21st, 2024, at the Teatro del Maggio with the Mayor of Florence and the Metropolitan City Dario Nardella presiding. The members of the Board of Auditors were also present in connection.
 
The Councilors and Auditors, in addition to having approved the minutes of the meeting of March 5th, also unanimously ratified the resolution of March 5th regarding the identification of Carlo Fuortes as the name to be sent to the Minister of Culture Gennaro Sangiuliano, as Superintendent .
 
The Councilors and Auditors then addressed the proposed amendment to the statute (articles 8 and 9) accepting the need to represent a structure of the Council that responded more adequately to the balance of weights between the institutional members also in relation to their respective economic contributions; the statutory changes which provide for the figure of a Deputy Vice President and a Vice President were therefore approved.
 
As usual, the notarial deed has been drawn up and will be quickly sent to the Ministry for final approval and entry into force.
 
After this approval, the Council will be reconvened to proceed with the appointments of the two figures.
 
The hope of the President of the foundation, Mayor Nardella, and of the councilors is that the entire process that will lead to the new structure of the Council and the new Superintendent can be completed as quickly as possible so as to put the Theater in a position to restart at full capacity with a stable and authoritative guide.
