New seats in Maggio's Cavea

The Cavea del Maggio, the open-air theater on the roof of the Maggio, has been equipped with new seats to ensure spectators a more comfortable seat

Florence, July 2nd, 2025 – The president of the Fondazione del Maggio and Mayor of Florence Sara Funaro and the superintendent of the Theater Carlo Fuortes have “inaugurated” the new layout of the Cavea plan which now, in addition to the seats always available in the steps, is equipped with about a thousand seats with backrests, to offer the public greater comfort while attending the shows.

This new furniture will begin to be used starting from the performances of the opera Elisir d’amore which will be on stage from July 7th at 9 pm and in the subsequent performances on July 9th, 11th, 14th always at 9 pm and for the Carmina Burana concert on July 19th at 9 pm.

The seats will remain stable for every other summer event and with the arrival of autumn they will be stored in storage to then be installed again for next summer.

For the opera “Elisir d’amore” the seats are on sale at 50 euros. The seats in the stands are on sale at 30 euros

For the concert “Carmina Burana” the seats are on sale at 30 euros and the stands at 20 euros
