The Steering Council of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Foundation unanimously approves the Annual Report for the year 2024 with a profit of 1,200,000 euros
Florence, May 30, 2025 - The Steering Council of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Foundation, in the presence of the Mayor of Florence and President of the Foundation Sara Funaro, met this afternoon at 5 p.m. to approve the Final Financial Statements for the year 2024.
The 2024 Budget records very positive figures and closes with an operating profit of about 1,200,000 euros. This result is particularly significant considering, compared to previous years, the absence of extraordinary contributions from the Founding Members and determines the definitive exit of the May Theater from the state of crisis of the past clearly indicating the achievement of economic, financial and operational balance of the Foundation.
The Board, appreciating the result and congratulating Superintendent Carlo Fuortes, then unanimously and with great satisfaction approved the 2024 Annual Report.
At the same meeting, the Board analyzed the performance of the 87th May Festival and the economic-financial values as of April 30, 2025, all of which show improvement over the same period last year. Of particular note is the growth in ticket receipts, which more than doubled compared to the same date last year (up 106 percent).
The Steering Committee, rejoicing at this remarkable result, remarked very positively on the strong return to May by the public, a fact that underscores and highlights the high quality level of the artistic proposal.
