87th Maggio Festival
Progetto giovani musicisti– Fiesole Music School
Thursday, June 12th, 2025, at 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm, a double symphonic concert as part of the “Maggio aperto” series of events.
The two shows – scheduled in the Orchestra Hall – renew the fruitful collaboration between the Teatro del Maggio and the Fiesole Music School.
The protagonists of the two performances are the “Quartetto Metamorphosis” - in the 7:00 pm concert – and the soloists Judith Duerre, Diego Maffezzoni and Milena Dolcetto in the 9:00 pm concert.
The program includes music by Franz Joseph Haydn; Ludwig van Beethoven; Hugo Wolf; Maurice Ravel and Robert Schumann.

Florence, June 11th, 2025 – The collaboration between the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole is renewed with a double and lively symphonic event. The evening is part of the Maggio Aperto cycle, the shows included in the 87th Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Festival that bring the Theater and its Festival closer to the world of the varied musical realities of the Florentine territory.
The double concert is scheduled for Thursday, June 12th, 2025, at 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm, in the Sala Orchestra of the Theater; another precious opportunity for the public to test its excellent acoustics and structure.
Numerous protagonists and compositions on the program: the 7 pm show opens with the “Quartet in B minor” by Franz Joseph Haydn and closes with the “String Quartet No. 9 in C major” by Ludwig van Beethoven.
The protagonist is the Metamorphosis Quartet, formed by Edoardo Bianchi and Viola Matteoli, violin; Letizia Zanobini, viola and Aurora Pierattini, cello.
The 9 pm concert features Drei Michelangelo-Lieder by Hugo Wolf; Don Quichotte à Dulcinée by Maurice Ravel and Frauenliebe und-leben by Robert Schumann.
The soloists are the soprano Judith Duerre, the baritone Diego Maffezzoni and, accompanying them on the piano, Milena Dolcetto.
