The Board of Directors of the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino meeting

Florence, May 23rd 2024 – The Board of Directors of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Foundation met today, under the presidency of the Deputy Vice President, Valdo Spini.

The Council, having received the favorable opinion of the Board of Auditors, unanimously approved the assessment of the 2024 budget estimate.

During the meeting, the proposal emerged, put forward by the Vice President Vicario Valdo Spini, that the Foundation find a form of recognition for maestro Vittorio Gui, founder of the Orchestra del Maggio in 1928 and subsequently of the Festival in 1933. The Council welcomed Spini's proposal and will proceed by raising awareness in this sense among the Municipal Administration.
