The Teatro del Maggio informs the public that Maestro Myung-Whun Chung has announced that he will be unable to conduct the concert scheduled for Sunday, May 16, 2026, at 6:00 pm in the Mehta Hall, as part of the 88th Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Festival.

The Teatro del Maggio thanks maestro Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, who has agreed to conduct the concert.

In addition to the previously scheduled performance of Symphony No. 5 in C-sharp minor by Gustav Mahler, the concert conducted by maestro Tjeknavorian will also offer the audience Symphony in B-flat major Hob. I:68 by Franz Joseph Haydn, which has never before been performed in the Maggio’s Seasons.
