Florence, 18 December 2023 - An extraordinary and festive evening at the Teatro del Maggio for the Christmas Concert: Tuesday 19 December at 8 p.m., in the Zubin Mehta Hall, the traditional Christmas event returns, in collaboration with La Compagnia di Babbo Natale. An evening of music as we approach Christmas with many protagonists: the Children's Choir of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Academy; soprano Aitana Sanz Pérez, a talent of the Maggio Academy; tenor Michele Galbiati and, at the piano, Hanna Kim. The very young students of the Maggio Choral Singing School will also take part in the concert, joining the older ones in the last two pieces that will close the first part of the concert.

On the bill is a colourful and varied programme, underlining the tradition and atmosphere of the festivities with performances of some of the best-known and best-loved Christmas compositions, from traditional Christmas music to some of the most famous soundtracks of recent years: from John Rutter to John Williams, passing through the music of great classics such as Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban and Home alone.
