30 May 2026: Conservatorio di Musica “Luigi Cherubini” di Firenze

On Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 8:00 PM, the concert by the Conservatorio di Musica “Luigi Cherubini” di Firenze will take place in the Choir Hall of the Maggio Theatre.
The program features music by Ludwig van Beethoven, Johannes Brahms, and Antonín Dvořák.
Florence, May 29, 2026 – On Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 8:00 PM, a new event in the “Maggio Aperto” series will take place: the concert of the Conservatorio di Musica “Luigi Cherubini” di Firenze, held in the evocative Choir Hall of the Maggio Theatre.
The evening opens with the “String Quartet in C minor, Op. 18 No. 4” by Ludwig van Beethoven, followed by the “Cello Sonata No. 2 in F major, Op. 99” by Johannes Brahms.
The “Piano Trio No. 4 ‘Dumky’ in E minor, Op. 90” by Antonín Dvořák closes the symphonic performance.
The “String Quartet in C minor” will be performed by the Quartetto Etere from the “Ensemble Music Class for String Instruments led by Professor Giorgio Sasso.” The quartet consists of Edoardo Bianchi and Chiara Podestà (violins), Giorgia Bartoccini (viola), and Benedetta Matteoli (cello).
Brahms’s “Cello Sonata No. 2 in F major” and Dvořák’s “Piano Trio No. 4 ‘Dumky’” will be performed by soloists from the “Instrumental and Vocal Chamber Music Class led by Professor Daniela De Santis.” Andrea Abategiovanni (cello) and Fabio Pratesi (piano) will perform the Brahms sonata, while Aurora Duchi (violin), Benedetta Matteoli (cello), and Viola Poloni (piano) will perform Dvořák’s trio.
Also as part of the “Maggio Aperto” program, another concert in collaboration with the Cherubini Conservatory is scheduled for June 12, 2026, again at 8:00 PM in the Choir Hall of the theatre.
