The enchanted forest is inhabited by a host of real and magical creatures. There are Theseus and his wife Hippolyta; their daughter Hermia and her suitors, Demetrius and Lysander; as well as Oberon and Titania, the King and Queen of the Fairies. Helena is there too, along with the weaver Bottom, transformed into a donkey, and the mischievous sprite Puck. Their intertwined stories of love - fulfilled and unrequited, possible and impossible - unfold in a spellbinding A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Guiding the audience through this enchanting tale will be the actress Ginevra Fenyes, while the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Orchestra, conducted by Chiara Cattani, performs the exquisite music of Henry Purcell.
