La bohème - Paolo Fresu with the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Orchestra
Inspired by Giacomo Puccini
Programma
Paolo Fresu, one of the most distinctive and authoritative voices in European jazz, explores the universe of La bohème in a project that reinterprets its essence with profound musical sensitivity.
Together with the Devil Quartet – a group that has accompanied the Sardinian trumpeter in his most daring projects for years – and the Maggio Orchestra, Fresu approaches Giacomo Puccini’s masterpiece through a reworking that distills its themes, atmospheres, and emotional tensions, transporting them into a contemporary dimension.
The musical arrangement and conducting are by Maestro Paolo Silvestri, one of the most distinguished and perceptive composers on the contemporary music scene, making his debut as conductor of the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
