We inform you that, in compliance with the limitations indicated, the performance of La Cenerentola per i bambini, scheduled for March 4, 2021, is postponed.
As soon as possible, the Teatro del Maggio will inform about the new dates and the refund procedures.
As for L'elisir d'amore, this reduced edition of Gioachino Rossini's great masterpiece also maintains the original dramaturgy intact, with the difference that the composer himself will be on stage, impersonated by an actor. Obviously there will be surprises, as Rossini and his librettist Jacopo Ferretti's Cinderella is very different from the adaptations of the fairy tale that made Charles Perrault or the Grimm brothers, but also from the very popular cartoon made in 1950 by Walt Disney. The boys, for example, will discover that in Rossini's work the stepmother is actually a stepfather, the extravagant Don Magnifico, and that the crystal shoe is replaced by a scrape, a bracelet, which the girl, under the guise of a beautiful masked lady, delivers to Don Ramiro, keeping the twin for himself. It will be thanks to this expedient that the Prince will be able to find his Cinderella at the end of a series of very funny twists.
