Lions, hens, tortoises, elephants, kangaroos, fish, donkeys, birds and swans, as well as wild asses (can you guess what they are?) and two-legged creatures such as music critics and pianists: these are the protagonists of Camille Saint-Saëns’s colourful and delightfully witty zoological fantasy, The carnival of the animals. The work will be performed by the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Orchestra under the baton of Stepan Armasar. Leading the audience through this extraordinary menagerie will be the actress Gaia Nanni, appearing as an expert zoologist. She will be joined by her daughter - and by a decidedly eccentric grandmother. Fun is guaranteed.
