Rising from the Arno

Sixty Years Since the Florence Flood

In 2026, Florence commemorates the 60th anniversary of the flood of November 4, 1966, an event that profoundly affected the city, its historical and artistic heritage, and its collective memory.
Against this backdrop, Rising from the Arno was conceived: an original musical project that, through three major events, invites audiences to reflect on the importance of remembrance and the resilience of a community.
Three independent productions, united by a shared artistic, symbolic, and cultural vision, explore the connections between memory, spirituality, place, and community through the universal language of music.
A journey that transforms remembrance into an opportunity for connection, participation, and shared experience.
