85th Festival del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and Mozart-Mehta Cycle - Subscriptions and informations

We inform our audience that, due to the Commissioner Onofrio Cutaia general analysis of the upcoming 85th Maggio Fiorentino Festival, it has been decided to suspend, starting from March 17 – and for the shortest period of time – tickets and season tickets sale for the Festival’s shows already announced.

We want to reassure the audience that any interventions will be taken with a careful assessment of the sustainability of the Festival programme and its quality, and aimed at encouraging the broadest participation of spectators.

SUBSCRIPTION RENEWAL

The renewal of subscriptions, in pre-emption, will begin from 6 March 2023 until 13 March 2023. Subscribers to the Symphony Season who wish to confirm their subscription will be able to book their seat in the Mehta Hall. Subscribers to the operatic cycle of the Festival who confirm their subscription will have to proceed with a new choice of seat in the Main Hall. Subscribers to both the Festival’s operatic cycle and the symphonic cycle will be able to confirm their seat in Sala Mehta and proceed with the choice of a new seat in the Main Hall.

From 6 March to 13 March 2023, season ticket holders for the 2022 Festival can go to the ticket office or contact the Courtesy Service by phone (+39 055 2779309) or by email ([email protected]) and book their choices. The definitive confirmation must correspond to the payment, even by bank transfer, and must in any case take place no later than 13 March inclusive.

During the subscription campaign period, for those who still receive reimbursement for canceled shows, it will be possible to deduct their credit from the amount of the chosen subscription.

We inform the public that the opera Otello and the symphonic concerts not performed during the previous seasons are recovered according to this scheme:

The performance of Otello of 11/27/2020 is recovered on 05/20/2023;
The performance of Otello of 11/30/2020 is recovered on 05/23/2023;
The performances of Otello of 3-15-19/12/2020 is recovered on 26/05/2023;
The performance of Otello of 06/12/2020 is recovered on 03/06/2023; 

Concert of November 9, 2020 (conductor Zubin Mehta) is recovered with the concert of May 25, 2023, conducted by Zubin Mehta;

Concert of February 27, 2021 (conductor James Conlon) is recovered on April 29 with the direction of Zubin Mehta;

Concert of March 31, 2022 (conductor Valerij Gergiev) recovered on May 5, 2023 under the direction of Myung-Whun Chung.

Ticket holders who wish to attend the opera and concerts on the dates indicated will be able to access the hall with the old ticket and collect a coupon from the ticket office with the new assignment. Anyone wishing to request a refund can do so by the date of the reallocation. Anyone wishing to subscribe but already holds one of these appointments will be able to deduct the amount from the subscription price.

NEW SUBSCRIPTIONS
Starting from 17 March 2023 inclusive, the subscription of new season tickets will be open. Those wishing to purchase new season tickets and thus guarantee their favorite seat in both the Main Hall and Zubin Mehta Hall can go to the Ticket Office or contact the Courtesy Service by telephone (+39 055 2779309) or by email ([email protected]) within on April 17.

TERMS OF PAYMENT

Subscriptions can be renewed and purchased according to the following methods:

  • Teatro del Maggio ticket office, Piazzale Vittorio Gui 1 | OVERTIME HOURS (on the occasion of the subscription campaign): from Monday to Friday (11-18), Saturday (11-14) and from two hours before the shows (no subscriptions);
  • Courtesy service (+39 055 2779309) available on Tuesdays and Thursdays (2-6 pm). Only for reservations (no payment);
  • Bank transfer, after booking through the Courtesy Service, using the following bank details IT03 W 01030 02800 000008056371 and indicating in the reason for payment: name, surname, type of season ticket, desired seat or sector for both rooms;
  • Via voucher to be used at the ticket office or via courtesy service with no commissions applied;
  • Carta Docente and 18App, exclusively at the Box Office of the Teatro del Maggio. The value of each voucher issued must always correspond to the full price of the subscription. Each voucher allows the purchase of a subscription, which must be made out to the holder of the voucher. It is not possible to use a voucher for two or more season tickets.

TICKETS/INFORMATION

The sale of tickets for access to the shows scheduled for the 85th Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Festival will be activated:

  • From 6 March 2023 for opera performances Non-subscription;
  • From 17 March 2023 for opera performances and subscription concerts.

IN CASE OF NEED, THE FOUNDATION RESERVES TO CHANGE THE PROGRAMS, PERFORMERS, DATES, TIMES AND LOCATIONS OF THE SHOWS.
