Maggio Formazione

The Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino has set up a school for Advanced Studies to complete and perfect the training of young artists, helping to guarantee them employment opportunities by means of lyrical and symphonic productions of the Foundation and other music institutions. Partners in the Maggio Fiorentino Formazione, apart from the Maggio Foundation itself, are the Florence Chamber of Commerce and the Florence Industrial Association. With projects such as “Palcoscenico”, created with the support of the Tuscany Region and the European Social Fund, the Association has activated courses of study for the main artistic figures involved in creating operatic and symphonic productions. Operatic singers, assistant directors and orchestra members are the young artists to whom Maggio Fiorentino Formazione directs its high-profile training courses, which offer many advantages: they have access to the Theatre’s logistic, technical, scenery and instrumental resources, they optimise the individual experience of course-members, and the teaching is carried out by distinguished musicians, starting with Zubin Mehta, who has supported the initiative ever since it began. www.maggioformazione.it
